I look out my old kitchen window, the only one in the house that hasn't been replaced last year. Somehow, it got missed. And it is not insulated well at all. All of a sudden I see a gazillion little flies. WHERE are they coming from? The longer I look, the more flies appear.
Perhaps some mama fly laid her eggs in these spent flowers that should have been pitched a week ago, but I like the look of the drooping things. Kinda old fashioned looking. But not if they are host to hatching these little critters.
Then I look up, and I see more little flies caught in a spider web that I didn't know existed. Is my house really this dirty? The paint is peeling. I can't keep the black mold off the wooden window sill. These little flies are so gross. Drowning in the water sitting in the cereal bowls that have not been washed yet from breakfast.
Great! I've got two little helpers who are more than willing to get their hands wet from slopping. Don't you just love their reflection in the plastic recipe holder?
And dear knows who long this faucet was turned on and the water running! But 5 year old Braden was having the time of his life cleaning this. I didn't have much to clean up, really. He killed most of those flies and his sister cleaned the rest.
......and crawling up the side. So these eggs were laid somewhere inside the window and they are hatching inside and out. Two days later we saw another batch. How many times are we going to have to go through this? That window is REALLY getting clean, with more paint peeling in the process. And of all things, we used the last of the Raid. Neither the wasp and hornet spray or Off worked very well although it was worth a try. This time the vacuum cleaner came in handy.
