OK, I just quoted a song that Breakthrough sings.
We were up fairly early so we could get a head start for home. We heard several messages on radio and still lived off the worship experiences from Friday and Saturday nights. God is good and faithful.
We stopped at a park to stretch and eat lunch.
Remember these leaves that stick to your nose? They stick better in the fall when they're green. This was a new thing for Landon to discover. Also, he still had pizza on his cheeks.
The colors of scenery were breathtaking. I LOVE old barns.
Beyond the mountain behind the cows was a thunderstorm.
Braden was the only one awake....
....but then he too succombed to sleep. The children had a great time with their cousins. They were plumb wore out.
The clouds became more menacing. Then they would break and we'd see a rainbow. Look about at the two thirds mark of the light pole.
The clouds grew more angry and all of a sudden, it p.o.u.r.e.d. along with hail.
We pulled to the side of the road, while other motorists ventured to keep going. But more and more would pass us then pull off, too. And in mere minutes, it was over...
...leaving behind a pile of ice balls which quickly disappeared in the heat. Aren't storms amazing?
And looking back, we saw another rainbow. It was just awesome. This rainbow is slightly above the yellow sign in line with the fading colors of the redbud tree.
