We attended my niece's and nephew's baptisms on Sunday evening. Sunday morning was a lovely service of encouraging each other and speaking words of life instead of death. The Christian church would be different if we would always practice this. I need to speak more life to our children. It's like trying to change years of negative thought life into positive. I know it can be done through Christ. It's what I'm striving for.
We spent several days with my family, then headed to see my in-laws.
We stopped by to see my husband's brothers at the job. They were busy spraying and didn't have time to talk. That came later in the evening.

This golden field caught my eye as a perfect place for photos. Yet it was bright, pun intended.
Amber had been busy before our trip sewing this skirt made from two new pairs of jeans. A $6 skirt isn't too bad of a price and she did a great job! The girls enjoy sewing more than I do.
All the while we were playing with the camera, Landon was waiting for a swing ride and no one seemed to notice that he was waiting. I really felt bad for him because just as I was getting ready to push him, we were told to move away if we didn't want bleach on our clothes. The wind was blowing in our direction, perfect for spotted clothes if we had stayed to enjoy the swing. But this little guy was e.x.t.r.e.m.e.l.y. disappointed not to get a ride, and his pout showed every attitude of his heart right then.
"Life can be full of disappointments and it's best to learn that now," I tried to tell him. Yet all he could think of was that missed ride. And that's where training had to step in, telling him to stop pouting and get over it.
