Snow clean up

There's a beauty about snow that is difficult to describe. The thing that intrigues me the most is that Jesus washes away our sins with His crimson blood and makes us whiter than snow! How much whiter can clean snow be? But that's only a start of all the miracles performed by Christ.

The snow on our deck measured 9" while our neighbors' snowfall measured 12" - 14".

10:00 AM the snow still covered most of the roads. And that's not talking about all the back roads.

It was a wonderful time to spend together reading and relaxing as a family. And yesterday was nearly impossible to work at school. Snow makes life interesting!

Looking out the window was marvelous!

The boys went outside to play.

Merv tried to open up the driveway with the four wheeler, but there was simply too much snow. So he was on his way to the neighbors.....

....slipping and sliding on his way to borrow a skidsteer.

As the sun shone, the snow on our metal roof started to slide.

This is a usual occurance at this time of year. The boys are still in the training process of hanging up their wet clothes. Along with that comes their room. If Mom and sisters always pick up for them, they'll never learn. It may be faster and easier for us to clean up than to patiently wait, but in the end, it won't benefit the boys. That's the stage we're in now. I must say they do really well when given a chance.

Driveway's scraped and now's the fun part of playing on the snow banks.

The day was complete with soft pretzels shared with the neighbors. What a great day!
