Out of the mouth of babes....

Yesterday morning our two little boys were playing Legos. That is the norm around here.
And my daughter listened to this conversation.

Landon - "I want to die today."
Braden - "Landon!"
Amber - "Why do you say that?"
Landon - "I want to see Jesus."

This conversation was going on between the 'Lego men.'

Braden - "Well, I looked at the calendar, and it said Landon's little children isn't going to die today."

It ended up that the Lego man did die.

I thought this was interesting, because by noon we heard about the Esh family tragedy.
Sometimes I wonder if little children have an intuition.
The best thing is that he wants to see Jesus!

I still have a sore thumb. I don't know if I made the mistake by not going to get it x-rayed and going to the doc to get it checked out. I put Swedish bitters on the day before yesterday for several hours. That seemed to relieve it a bit. That evening with the family together in the living room, I asked Allison to pull each of my fingers including my thumb. It felt like something moved.

I put Swedish bitters on overnight. First I put lard on my hand as recommended by the old manual of the healing effects of these bitter herbs. Then I soaked a cotton ball with the liquid and covered my entire hand with a plastic bag. Last, I wrapped it with an Ace bandage.

The next morning which was yesterday, my hand felt different. For once since I fell on it, I can show the number 4 with my hand. I couldn't move my thumb that far before. It's still sore, but it's a different kind of sore. It's also a bit swollen on the bottom.

Last night was the second night of the Swedish bitters. I now have a stained yellow thumb. But I really believe the swelling is going down. For some reason, it seems to me that my thumb went out of place when I fell. I did hear it crack, then pulled it out right after the accident. I still can't bend it as far as with the other hand. Next week, I plan to let Allison pull it again or do it myself and see what happens.

I do know that I am quite ready to use my thumb again. But I feel very certain that it's on its path to healing. I am thanking the Lord again for hands and feet. Thank you! I have so much to be grateful for.
