I highly recommend shopping through these two sites before doing any online shopping so you can earn extra cash.
In fact, clicking on this ebates link (http://www.ebates.com/rf.do?referrerid=hpKukFh9FO5qCq6M%2B3rErQ%3D%3D) right now will give you $5 with your first online purchase.
Or click on this shop at home link (http://www.shopathome.com/?IAFCG=bnl7Cc0vuK/KOUqMYWOCAA==) to earn $5 with your first purchase.
I always compare these two sites before shopping ebay, amazon, airline tickets or anything to see which one will give me the best discount.
Anyway, cash in hand, I was looking for something fun to buy.
At a corner lot, I spotted a little old car, one I had wanted for awhile but only wanted for cheap. It's like the little car in Uncle Arthur's bedtime storybook number 5 'A Bit Too Fast' - the story of Nigel and Nellie.
I asked the vendor his price, "Five dollars".
"Did you say Five Dollars?" I couldn't believe it!!!!
And the sale was made.
My friends couldn't believe how cheap I got it. In fact, one of them posed as a police officer in his phone call to us, saying I had STOLEN a car at the flea market!☺ What a riot! He likes old stuff as well as I do. The car's probably worth $70.
We brought it home and our youngest had a blast with it.
Another bargain I liked that I'll use in my future potting shed or house are these wire baskets at $4 each. That's cheaper than buying flimsy ones at Lowe's or Home Depot for $7-10+ each.
We headed up the hill to where my husband was having fun working - building a concrete table. Fun and work in the same sentence? You bet!!!!
We love making mountain pies and we wanted a good strong table.

The little ones were busy building natural cabins and houses with moss used for landscaping, while the rest of us mowed and weeded.
And the little car found it's resting place. I think it could be red, but I still like the white.
What do you think? Do you think I should paint it or leave it?
These were the homemade forms my ingenious husband made. He's so gifted with carpentry and is a perfectionist, too. His work is always done right!!! I love that about him. He doesn't do anything halfway. He gives it his all.
